The Antey Group of Companies has mastered a new logistics route for direct shipment of live crab from Murmansk to China

Based on the agreed contracts with the Chinese side, the Antey Group of Companies has begun air shipment of live crab from the Murmansk airport. Previously, delivery was carried out to Moscow by land transport, then by plane to China.

The first Murmansk-China flight with Kamchatka crab on board lasted 13 hours. The day before, it was caught and delivered by the Antey Group of Companies vessels to the Murmansk port. Then the seafood delicacy was transported to a special holding facility, where it underwent acclimatization in pools with conditions as close to natural as possible. On the day of departure, the crab was packed in compliance with all the necessary conditions for its life.

“All parameters are observed during transportation of the crab, the crab feels comfortable and is able to withstand a long flight normally,” commented Olga Khlynina, head of the production department of Antey Sever LLC.

The first flight sent 13.5 tons. All goods were checked for quality and safety by regulatory authorities. The shipment from Murmansk was the first and not the last. Several more flights will take place in the near future.
