Let's go East!
Six crab catchers with live Kamchatka crab on board are sailing along the Northern Sea Route from the Barents Sea to the Far East. The total volume of valuable cargo is almost a thousand tons. The first four ships have already reached the port of Zarubino in the Primorsky Territory.
The journey along the Northern Sea Route takes about 20-25 days, depending on weather conditions. To deliver the cargo in the best possible way, our specialists have developed a special life support system: to ensure that the caught crab does not die, it needs a constant change of sea water in the tanks. But since the water in the Arctic Ocean is highly desalinated due to melting ice and the abundance of inflowing rivers, a closed system is used when transporting to the Far East: water in tanks is passed through filters while maintaining a temperature favorable for crabs of no more than +2 degrees.
Thus, Kamchatka crab comfortably endures transportation and arrives at the consumer’s table in the best possible condition.
