From theory to practice

Today, the special guests of the crab vessel “Murman-2” were students of the Faculty of Ship Power Plants and Ship Repair of the Murmansk Arctic University. First mate Roman Topchiy gave the guys a tour of the ship, told them about each stage of crab fishing and showed how a modern factory for the production of boiled and frozen crab products works.

Second mechanic Alexey Panov answered all questions about the structure of the crab catcher, ship mechanisms and life support systems.

It is important for future graduates not only to study the theory, but also to see with their own eyes how fishing vessels work. We have strong friendly relations with the Murmansk Arctic University; we are happy to not only conduct excursions for students, but also accept future sailors for practical training.
