Another modernized vessel has been included in the fleet of Antey Group

MFFT ‘Arka-36’ is a vessels of the series ‘Arka’, which have been reequipped and modernized; on these crab fishing vessels, fresh catch is processed directly on board.

‘The introduction of automated control over the operation of the refrigeration station will allow refrigerating engineers to devote more time to maintenance and compliance with regulations. This means that it will increase the service life of the equipment and ensure a consistently high quality of products,’ says Gennady Slugin, the chief engineer of Antey.

While modernizing the hull the suggestions and experience of the master were taken into account. Structural modifications affected the aft, the location and size of fishing equipment, the size of the platform for sorting catch, and the allocation of remote-controlled cranes.

Now the vessel is working in the Primorye subarea of the Sea of Japan fishing deep-sea red snow crab.
