Company «Antey Sever»: from catching to manufacturing

The fleet of the Company «Antey Sever» consists of 11 vessels, including vessels for fishing and processing crab. Fishing king crab and opilio crab is carried out in the Barents Sea.

Boiled products and raw-frozen products are manufactured on ships at sea. The main export markets are the USA, Japan and South Korea.

An interesting fact is that an important thing in fishing crabs is sorting. Females and small crabs are returned to the sea to reproduce. The female crab differs from the male that there is a plate on the inside of the carapace where the caviar is located.

«Compliance with all technological requirements is mandatory, as it guarantees the quality of products. We control the optimal temperature conditions and the time of cooking, freezing, glazing, and storage of crab,» says Natalya Kalinina, the head of the production department of Antey Sever.
