At the Nakhodka Shipyard, has begun construction of 8 crab fishing vessels for the Antey group.

At the solemn ceremony, embedded boards were installed on the hulls of new vessels. They will be built according to the already tested CCa5712LS project and the new CCLC600. The crab fishing vessel is designed for harvesting and transporting live crab.

According to Andrey Polomar, General Director of Antey, in 2020 the laying of the first series of eight vessels took place in Nakhodka.

Now their technical readiness is more than 90%.The second three vessels will be launched this year. Together with Nakhodka shipyard, we overcame difficulties and quite successfully we are implementing our plans,” Andrey Polomar said.

The total length of such a crab vessel is 56 meters, the overall width is 13.5 meters, the maximum speed is 12 knots. In addition, the vessel will be able to store up to 110 tons of live crab in 8 tanks with a total volume of 680 cubic meters.

“Such a large-scale construction series is being implemented for the first time in the history of the Nakhodka Shipyard, and this confirms the high competence of our specialists: from engineers and designers to suppliers and welders. The project has already made it possible to create more than 400 new jobs for local residents in Nakhodka,” emphasized General Director of Nakhodka Shipyard Sergey Starovoitov.
